DEMETER CERTIFICATION
Hikiän is the first Finnish honey producer to receive the Demeter certification and thus at the moment the only one that produces biodynamic honey in Finland (2021).
Demeter is the brand for products from biodynamic agriculture. Only strictly controlled and contractually bound partners are permitted to use the brand. A comprehensive verification process ensures strict compliance with the International Demeter Biodynamic Standard, as well as applicable organic regulations in the various countries; without a gap, through every step, from agricultural production to processing and final product packaging.
A beekeeper may be granted Demeter certification if the beekeeper is able to demonstrate sufficient suitability for biodynamic production and the quality requirements for honey in accordance with the Demeter standards are fulfilled.
In Finland, the Demeter brand is administered by the Biodynamic Association.
HALAL CERTIFICATION
Halal Certification was admitted to Hikiän Raw Honey by The Islamic Society of Finland. Certification was signed by Imam Mohamad Anas Hajjar. Hikiän applied Halal Certification to certify production methods and add more knowledge to customers about Hikiän products. Certification will be valuable for customers who wants to be sure that production is following Halal Certificated methods. Halal Certification was added to the website. It will also be noticed in Hikiän Social media channels.
Hikiän is located in Finland and the main industry is bee related products such as honey and propolis. Currently the company is trading Hikiän products worldwide and main customers are located in Hong Kong, Malesia, UAE and Taiwan.
LABORATORY TESTS RESULTS as expected: no pesticides and no GMOs
Hikiän Biodynamic Honey is 100 % free from pesticides and GMOs. We annually test our batch by QSI – Laboratory for Food and Pharmaceutical Analytics (Bremen, Germany).
We run large laboratory tests (over 500 pesticides) for Hikiän Biodynamic Honey and Hikiän Organic Propolis products to get very detailed information of our products purity and reliability.
